Alde Garden’s wildlife campsite is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Just 2 hours from London by train, & only a 20-minute drive from Suffolk’s diverse coastline.
Alde Garden makes the perfect spot for a holiday, retreat or mid-week break. Situated in the heart of Suffolk, Alde Garden hosts a collection of eclectic accommodation, as well as a handful of small tent pitches.
Make sleeping into an adventure in our colourful, 100-year-old Gypsy Caravan. Become a big kid with our treehouse hideout for adults or fall asleep under the stars inside a cosy Yurt or tent. With enough spaces for families, or couples young and old.
Relaxation and spending time in nature is a luxury that is often taken for granted. At Alde Garden relaxation is a speciality. Evenings spent unwinding around the campfire; a secluded Jungle shower and a variety of communal and private spaces mean you can design your stay uniquely to you.
The site itself is an eco-friendly campsite with a range of quirky accommodation, features, and possibilities including catered massages, spa treatments and personalised hampers. While there is electricity and home-comforts, Alde Garden encourages guests to get back to nature and enjoy the wildlife in the garden.
What can you expect from Alde Garden Campsite?
Winding pathways lead through trees and wildlife areas leading to small clearings where each accommodation option hides.
Friendly communal areas allow you to get to know other guests, but there’s also enough seclusion to allow you private time too.
At night the site is enchantingly lit by solar lights and the dark sky is perfect for stargazing.
To maintain the ambience of the garden, cars are kept in a car park adjacent to the site (not next to the pitches) and we don’t allow ball games, amplified music or large groups. So, you can expect a feeling of tranquility alongside nature. Sometimes there are families with children – so if you’re looking for complete peace & quiet it’s best to come mid-week or in term-time.
The site is in the village of Sweffling, just outside the popular town of Framlingham. Play areas, footpaths/cycle routes, open spaces and a host of things to do are just a stone’s throw away.
